Toy Poodle

Toy Poodles derive from the Standard Poodle, a breed which was developed in Germany to be a water retriever. It is thought that the French, who were greatly enamored with the Poodle breed, developed the Toy Poodle as well as the Miniature Poodle. Toy Poodles must stand no greater than 10 inches at the shoulder. As with Standard Poodles and Miniature Poodles, Toy Poodles’ curly and harsh coats come in a variety of solid colors. Poodles are extremely intelligent, playful, and extroverted dogs. Many Poodles also make good watchdogs.
