German Shepherd

German Shepherds were developed in Germany from herding and livestock guardian dogs. Males stand 24 to 26 inches at the shoulder, and females stand 22 to 24 inches at the shoulder. Their coats come in a variety of colors and shades. German Shepherds are one of the most versatile and intelligent breeds. They are biddable and dependable with their families. However, if provoked or if they sense danger, German Shepherds are generally fearless.
