Bichon Frise

Bichon Frises were developed in the Mediterranean. Sailors would often offer these little dogs as gifts or as an item to trade. Bichons, both male and females, should stand 9.5 to 11.5 inches at the shoulder. Their coats are white, but some dogs may have apricot, buff, or cream shadings. Bichon Frises are smart, sociable and playful. Bichons are often touted as “hypo-allergenic” dogs meaning they are an appropriate chose for people suffering from dog allergies. However, it is never a guarantee that a particular dog – hypo-allergenic or not – will not trigger a specific individual’s allergies.
