Breed by Breed Health
Belgian Tervurens were developed in Belgium to assist in herding and guarding. Males should stand 24 to 26 inches at the shoulder, and females should stand 22 to 24 inches at the shoulder. Their coats come in fawn to russet mahogany shades, and should have an overlay of black. Like the Belgian Malinois and Belgian Sheepdog, Tervurens are very smart and have a strong work drive. They are very courageous and powerful.
