Ask The VetAsk The Vet: Vomiting Rottie |
|
Q: We have a male Rottie who is 3 years old. He has been vomiting on and off all day. At first there was food in the vomit, but now it is white or yellow foam. He is not eating, but he is drinking. My husband gave him rib bones on Saturday night. His stomach is not hard or distended, but he is obviously uncomfortable. Any thoughts? A: It would be hard for me to tell you exactly why your dog is vomiting without examining him myself. However, I can tell you that the rib bones could be an issue. Since your dog is not eating and seems to be vomiting repeatedly, I would recommend taking him to the vet who will examine him “in person” including checking to see if there is an issue with the rib bones.
