Ask The Trainer: Barking Fox Terrier

How long will this training take? It depends on many things. Exactly how agitated are your dogs now? It sounds as though they get pretty well amped when guests come over. How long have the dogs been practicing their present behavior? The longer they've been doing it, the longer it will take to unlearn. How much other training have they had? The more experience of learning they have under their little doggy belts, the easier learning will be for them. How much time and patience do you have, and how many friends who are willing to be practice guests? The more of all of these you have, the more success you can expect.

I have to admit that in your shoes I'd be more likely to crate the dogs with tasty chews during visitor arrivals!
